Here, you won't be working from the sofa. The chalet has a desk set up in a quiet bedroom, so you can shut the door when you need to focus, plus a large dining table that easily fits a team meeting. The connection is high-speed : it handles several video calls at once, so back-to-back calls don't drop out even with several people online. The Calm of the Larch Trees, a View to Breathe In

The chalet sits in our hamlet of Pramorel, surrounded by larch and fir trees, far from the bustle of the resorts. Five minutes by car from Briançon and its shops, yet wonderfully quiet : the kind of place where you can actually hear the silence between meetings. The large terraces extend the day outdoors whenever the sun's out, and the mountain views do the rest. It's this setting that turns a working week into a week in the mountains.

A Week Together, Without Getting in Each Other's Way

For a team or a group of freelancers, the day quickly finds its rhythm : meetings in the morning, a sport or a walk in the afternoon, dinner together in the evening, with everyone free in between. The five bedrooms and generous living spaces give everyone their own corner to focus or unwind, and you're completely self-sufficient : a full kitchen, a laundry room for longer stays, storage everywhere. You live and work together, without ever getting in each other's way.

A Typical Day, Between Focus and Fresh Air

The real advantage of a working week at the chalet is the rhythm you find there : productive in the morning, restorative in the afternoon. Here's what a typical day at Mont Milo looks like.

• 7:30am breakfast in peace, by the fire, facing the peaks
• 8am – 12pm focused work at the desk or meetings around the large table
• 12pm – 4pm lunch, then mountain biking, hiking or snowshoeing depending on the season
• 4pm – 6pm video calls and client catch-ups, at the desk or on the terrace
• 6:30pm sauna, games room, reading by the stove
• 8pm dinner together at the chalet, or out in Briançon

Complete Independence, Service Whenever You Want It

Everything's arranged directly through the site, in just a few messages : Philippe replies quickly and sends you a complete guide to activities and good addresses. On arrival, the chalet is ready, and the stove is already warm. On site, Carole looks after the chalet whenever we're away. You're completely independent, but whenever you want to take your foot off the pedal, our private chef comes to cook right in front of you, and mountain bike hire is arranged online with our partners. The freedom of an independent chalet, with the reassurance of service in the background.

What Comes Next? You Come Back, for a Different Reason.

It happens more often than you'd think : you come to work for a week, and leave thinking you'll be back the following winter, this time to ski, with family or friends.
