☀️ In summer, three ways to experience the mountains from Pramorel
In summer, Pramorel becomes the ideal base for exploring the surrounding massifs. The adventures start right from Chalet Mont Milo near Briançon, on foot, by road bike or by mountain bike, no car or shuttle needed. Our Summer in the mountains guide lists every route accessible from the hamlet.
For cyclists, the legendary Tour de France climbs begin right at the doorstep, the Galibier, the Granon, the Izoard. Chalet Mont Milo holds the Accueil Vélo label and is fully equipped for a cycling stay. And once the bikes are put away, Briançon and its surrounding valleys offer heritage worth exploring, the UNESCO-listed Vauban citadel, the Clarée valley, the Queyras.
Hiking
The mountain trails literally begin at the chalet's doorstep. Pramorel sits at the edge of the Prorel forest, walks through larch woods, flowering alpine meadows, panoramic ridges. Routes for every level : family strolls through the woods, climbs to high-altitude lakes, more demanding crossings into the Écrins National Park. Along the way, marmots, chamois and ibex are faithful companions.

Briançon is one of the world's capitals of mountain-pass cycling. From Chalet Mont Milo in Pramorel, four legendary Tour de France climbs are directly accessible by bike.

Ski-in comfort, without the ski-in price
Staying ski-in, ski-out comes at a premium. From Mont Milo, our private shuttle (an optional extra, booked in advance) drops you at the foot of the Chantemerle or Briançon slopes, and a driver picks you up again whenever you like. You keep the quiet of the hamlet and direct access to the snow front. The best of both worlds.
