From Pramorel, the Chantemerle and Prorel slopes are just 5 minutes away by car, with free parking less than 100 metres from the lifts. And if you'd rather not drive, our partner shuttle Resalp (available by reservation, at a preferential rate negotiated exclusively for our guests) picks up your whole group, up to 8 people, directly at the chalet and drops you at the foot of the Luc Alphand piste in Chantemerle, or at Prorel in Briançon, whichever you prefer. In the evening, it brings you back whenever suits you, the sauna and games room waiting just for you.

How are the 5 bedrooms arranged for 8 people at Chalet Mont Milo?
Chalet Mont Milo has 3 lovely double bedrooms (Grand Aréa, Rochebrune, Izoard), one bedroom with 2 single beds (Lautaret), and one cosy bedroom with bunk beds (Granon), ideal for children. For two families of 4, the layout is ideal: each family settles onto its own independent level for real privacy, while still coming together happily in the generous shared spaces. For a group of friends, this layout frees up lovely extra sleeping space. Sandrine and Philippe are happy to advise you personally on the best configuration for your group.
How are the shower rooms arranged for an easy morning?
The property has 2 modern shower rooms, ideally arranged with one on the first floor and one on the second, each serving the bedrooms on its floor. An independent WC completes the first floor, and a second WC is built into the shower room on the second floor. For two families or two couples of friends, this layout keeps things running smoothly. Everyone gets ready at their own pace and in complete calm before heading out to the mountains.
What budget should I plan for renting the chalet for 8 people?
Rates at Chalet Mont Milo vary depending on the season. Per guest, choosing a large private chalet works out very good value compared to booking several separate apartments, while offering far better comfort and atmosphere. Peak season weeks (Christmas and February) get booked well in advance, so we recommend securing your dates as soon as your plans take shape.
What activities would you recommend for two families in Serre Chevalier Valley?
Serre Chevalier stands out as one of the most welcoming destinations for groups in the Southern Alps. In winter, 250 km of pistes cover every kind of skiing: little ones confidently take their first turns at the Chantemerle ski school (just 5 minutes by car from the chalet) while confirmed skiers head for the high-altitude runs. Activities beyond skiing, sledging in the meadows, snowshoeing, the Grands Bains hot springs or the ice rink, let everyone build their perfect day. In summer, family hikes, rafting on the Guisane and cycling outings flow just as easily.
Can we book the chalet privately for a weekend with 8 people?
Yes. Outside of school holiday periods, Chalet Mont Milo is available from 2 nights. It's the ideal option for a long weekend getaway with friends or family, whether that's a winter skiing break, a cycling trip, or a summer hiking weekend. During peak season weeks, the chalet is booked exclusively by the week.
How do I easily get to Chalet Mont Milo?
The chalet is remarkably easy to reach. By car, allow around 3 hours from Lyon or Marseille, 7h30 from Paris and 1h30 from Turin. On site, a private 3-space car park sheltered under the terrace awaits you, with snow cleared each morning. By train, our favourite route is the direct night train from Paris-Austerlitz, which gets you to Briançon at 8am for a 5-minute taxi transfer to the chalet.
