Who are we?
Sandrine & Philippe
A family of outdoor enthusiasts, five of us, with our three children, who have been in love with Serre Chevalier Valley for as long as we can remember. Season after season, we have skied the slopes, tried the restaurants, explored the trails and got to know the people who bring this extraordinary valley to life. It is this passion that we put at the heart of your stay, through Chalet Mont Milo, designed for families and groups of friends in search of authenticity and absolute comfort.
A little geography
In the northern part of the Southern Alps, just a stone's throw from Italy, at the very top of the Hautes-Alpes department, just below the Col du Lautaret, the 27.7 km of the Serre Chevalier Valley stretch all the way down to Briançon. Between 2,642 m (Col du Galibier) and 1,200 m altitude (Briançon), overlooked by the high glaciers of the Écrins National Park, and yet, the accent is warm and the sunshine generous, as befits the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.
Serre Chevalier Valley is the only ski resort in France located alongside a town of over 10,000 inhabitants, Briançon. A unique combination of outstanding activities, a UNESCO World Heritage site, unspoilt landscapes and over 300 days of sunshine a year.

The 5 key villages
Snow-white in winter, lush and green in summer, wild and unspoilt throughout, the valley strings together 11 hamlets centred around five key villages, each with its own architecture, atmosphere and character. Discover our complete village guide and our ski passes & ski schools page to plan your ski holiday with ease.

Our choice · The insider's address
The reason we chose to base Chalet Mont Milo in Briançon, in the hamlet of Pramorel, is its perfect balance. This former medieval hamlet has preserved a human scale and a rare timber architecture, far from the bustle of the larger resorts, yet with strategic access to the ski slopes just minutes away.
This is where you will find the cosy spirit of the real mountains, sheltered from the wind and the crowds, with a larch forest as your garden and the peaks as your horizon. The address the locals keep to themselves.
